EGL
Energy recently completed another installation
for Hong Kong Housing Authority at the new Sau
Mau Ping estate Phase#13 in Kowloon, which
is scheduled to finish construction by year
end 2008.
The HL-35 wind-solar light applies the latest
design Rejuvenation featuring floral
and leaf shapes for the lamp pole. This refreshing
design blends into the aesthetics of this modern
living environment. The eco-friendly Sau Mau
Ping estate new phase development will house
over 5000 households.

EGL Marketing Director Jeremy Ho was invited to give a talk at the Hong
Kong Lingnan University on the topic of
Renewable Energy on the 22nd April 2008. The talk was part of Lingnan
University's AIESEC (an environmental organisation's) Earth Day program to inspire the
new generation of graduates on environment and
energy conservation.
EGL
Marketing Director Jeremy Ho's interview with
leading chinese newspaper the Hong Kong Economic
Times published on Page A11. Newspaper

News introduced the benefits of EGL Energy's
wind-solar hybrid power systems in outdoor lighting,
wireless telecommuni-cation and remote surveillance
applications, EGL Energy's current business
and expansion into eastern European markets.
EGL
Energy recently completed a project with one
of the major international oil company. The
project uses solar power system designed by
EGL Energy to power remote oil pipeline radio
telemetry stretching over 50km in Oman.
The solar kit designed by EGL Energy is quick
and easy to deploy. The solar tower is versatile
and can be installed anywhere along the facility.
The solar power is very stable for the radio
telemetry equipment, allowing the operations
people to monitor the pipeline from the remote
control office.
Using renewable energy saved the customer a huge investment in diesel generators,
fuel tank facilities construction and on-going
high maintenance associated with 20KVA diesel
generator power solutions.
EGL Energy's AGM
deep-cycle batteries perform well day and
night, even in extreme desert weather conditions.

Thank you for your support in 2007.
Wind power installations around the world have
reduced CO2 emissions by 5% this
year. This is equivalent to replacing 23 medium-sized
coal fired power plants. That's good news for
the environment. At the same time, with the
fast increasing oil and natural gas prices,
the returns on investment in renewable energy
projects are becoming sooner than expected.
Many leading countries, including China, have
successfully implemented their renewable energy
mandates and achieved over their initial targets.
How have these countries done it? The answer
is simple. They pay for it. They have made a
political decision that all renewables are desirable
and needed, in fact they are needed now.
In 2007, EGL Energy has achieved significant
success especially in the introduction of wind-solar
hybrid power solutions into government sectors.
Some projects worth mentioning include the adoption
of EGL's wind-solar solutions by the Hong Kong
government housing department; the implementation
the world's first wifi network powered solely
by wind and solar energy by the government of
the Republic of Nauru.
In the coming year, EGL Energy will continue
to introduce innovative solutions to help tackle
the energy and environmental issues. We look
forward to your continuous support and efforts
to promote renewable energy to your organisations,
customers and countries.
From all the staff at EGL Energy, we wish you
a Merry Christmas and a Happy reNewable Year.
EGL
Energy partner Oceanic Broadband has recently
completed the installation work of a state-of-art
Wi-fi/Wi-max network powered only by renewable
energy source. Situated in Nauru, a small island-nation
in the Pacific, the wind-solar hybrid wifi service
is the world's first true wireless network.
The solution is based on Colubris Wi-fi transmitters
and receivers on a Wi-max backbone to provide
full service coverage for the island. All 40
repeater and base stations are powered by EGL
Enegy wind turbines and solar modules. This
solves the power issues without damaging the
island natural eco-system and environment.
Oceanic Broadband will be promoting this world-class
solution at the Satcom
Australia 2007 at Soffitel Hotel, Sydney,
3rd - 5th December 2007. Click
